6th Science
On March 6th, Ryerson’s 6th Graders had a virtual visit from meteorologists from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Aviation Weather Center (AWC). The discussion was in direct support of the 6th Grade science unit on the atmosphere.  Topics included how seasons are created, the Coriolis effect, winds, ocean currents, how certain weather maps are read, and the concept of how all weather is influenced by the sun.  Special thanks to the AWC for hosting and to Ms. Droubi for coordinating the unique experience for our 6th Graders.
