RINGWOOD RESIDENTS INTERESTED IN
SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDACY
All Ringwood residents are notified that the current deadline for filing Nomination Petitions to run as a candidate for the Ringwood Board of Education is Monday, July 31, 2023.
The Ringwood Board of Education has three (3) year term Board of Education seats available. Candidates must indicate the seat they are seeking on the Nominating Petition. Present Board of Education members retain no rights to these positions.
Prospective school board candidates can obtain a “School Board Candidate Kit” online at www.njsba.org. Published by the New Jersey School Boards Association, the School Board Candidate Kit includes nominating petition information, information about legal qualifications for school board candidacy and the role of the school board member. Information about the New Jersey Ethics Act and important dates in the school election process are also included in the kit.
Candidates may pick up a Nominating Petition at the Office of the County Clerk, Election Division, 401 Grand St., Room 130, Paterson, NJ 07505, or you may download a nominating petition from the Passaic County Website at “passaiccountynj.org” and must file it with the Passaic County Clerk’s office, Election Division, 401 Grand St., Room 130, Paterson, NJ 07505
by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 31, 2023, in order to have their name placed on the ballot for the School Election which is taking place on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
PLEASE NOTE
Petitions cannot be mailed. You must physically drop off the Nominating Petition at the Office of the County Clerk in Paterson upon completion of the petition no later than July 31, 2023.
